Poltrona Frau furnishings included in the Elle Decor Grand Hotel project

Poltrona Frau has recently taken part in the "Elle Décor Grand Hotel" project at Palazzo Morando (Milan), where a large installation going by the title "Invisible Rooms" has been set up in an homage to the long history of the hotel industry, from the past to the present day.
Concretely, an unprecedented temporary hotel has been recreated, designed by Chinese designer duo Neri & Hu, whose scenography and underlying concept was inspired by "The Invisible Cities" - a novel by Italo Calvino.
Referencing Calvino has given Neri & Hu the opportunity to create a fantastic world inside a building, the dazzling Palazzo Morando, that has undergone large-scale historic stratification over the years.
The main goal was to amaze the XXI century traveller with a narration developed on visual, functional and emotional levels, perfectly integrated with the environments recreated by the installation.
Completed at the end of October, the project was supported by several major Made in Italy furniture brands, including Poltrona Frau, which naturally could not miss such an opportunity to mark its contribution by lending some of its most significant pieces designed by Neri & Hu.
Indeed, Zhuang storage boxes, Xi lights and the multi-awarded Ren collection by Poltrona Frau were on display.
